Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders Today

Youth Corps is a leadership training experience for forty 9th and 10th grade students in the Midlands (Richland & Lexington counties). The 2008-2009 Corps will begin in August 2008 and end May 2009. In Youth Corps, participants will experience nine different areas (modules) in which they will gain exposure and opportunity. Each module is led by top community leaders and will last one month; the students participate in about 12 hours per month.

In Youth Corps, you will…

  • Start your own business
  • Develop a community service project
  • Help victims of crime
  • Discover careers of your interest
  • Draft your own legislation
  • Interact with the world of journalism
  • Gain money management skills
  • Explore the arts & culture
  • Mature as a leader
… and make a difference in your community!

Youth Corps... for male and female students in the 9th and 10th grade for the 2008-2009 school year. Don't miss out on the experience.
